a response to your query

recalling the blog author's earlier days, you may have recently asked yourself, "what has this little thing been up to lately?"

well, she has been

getting more not-so-little every day

attending birthing class with the husband ("they should call it the 'really, you will just be terrified after we show you all these gross videos' seminar," harrumphs the little one.)

(they call this the empathy belly.)

getting her weekly ultrasounds and semiweekly non-stress tests

(we call this the baby's dinosaur face.)

wondering where her ankles, feet and toenail polish have gone

wondering where her mind has gone
having a few emotional breakdowns

letting her house become a huge mess

breaking her promise to no longer post photos of her pregnant self

and wondering if the doctor will tell her on monday that the baby can come out next week ("come on!" cries the little one. "she is 37 weeks! that's full term! and she was estimated at 7 pounds 8 ounces at the last ultrasound!")

and now you might wonder, "but really, after that recap, what doctor in his right mind would let this woman care for an infant?"

beats me.

You have a cute belly. Your legs and ankles look so painful though. Mine were pretty swollen too and looked like yours even after I gave birth. Just keep yourself rested as much as you can!

a few thoughts:
1.you look adorable
2.your piggies look so depressed.let's fix that.
3.let's play before your whole life is ruined.

oh my sweet sweet friend- your feet! your feet! i need to come take your wool socks off (i trust you are still sporting them for your circulation) and and rub them while we watch something jane austeny or worse- amanda bynes-y and eat something that will undoubedtly make us both more swollen than we already are, but will be delicious nevertheless. dang pacific ocean! take care little friend.

AH! i am so so excited for you!!!

oh and cry away. i do before and for like six weeks after each baby. recognize that you are crazy and then just embrace it. it comes with the territory. :)

i'm SO glad you broke your promise to not post anymore pictures of yourself. you probably feel large, but i still think you look absolutely adorable! seriously!

i'm sorry about your feet and ankles. that looks like no fun at all :( hope it's not too painful.

i think its justified to have a few breakdowns.

and i hope that jake gets to wear an empathy belly when im pregnant. i like the thought if it.

You're so cute pregnant! And your hair is still cute, like always! I wish I was closed to give you a good pedicure. That would make your feet feel better. And if we rubbed between the Achilles tendon and your ankle bone just right, that little girl might pop out!!

I want to cry over your poor feet. I have been there, and it is no fun.

i just thought, those can't be your feet, they just can't. and then i had to read all the comments to see if you would say, "oh you guys are silly, you really thought those were my feet?" i think you're really cute, really, really.

i thought i would make the comment about how your husband looks like a medieval peasant in that hetus poncho thing. i thought he would like to hear that. also it would be most convienient for me if you have your child this weekend. that'd be great! thanks.(i thought you'd enjoy that one)

I'm anxiously awaiting the little one's debut. It's all worth it! It's so cool to have all the attention once focused on you (not so fun your last month of pregnancy) to be 100% focused on your adorable, precious gift from God.

Just around the corner, hearts will swell with profound love, joy will be contagious, and your gratitude to God will be keenly felt.

I'm keeping you in my prayers.
